27TH SEPTEMBER 2024, LONDON, UK - French electric motorcycle brand DAB Motors collaborates with London-based fashion designer David Koma to reveal a new series of three electric motorcycle designs inspired by the brand’s Spring-Summer 2025 collection.

Taking design and material inspiration from David Koma’s accessories and iconic padded biker jackets, the DAB 1α model - the inaugural production bike from DAB Motors - has been reinvented in three new high-impact hues: vivid blue, sleek matt black and a standout chrome finish, all complete with a custom-made David Koma saddle.

Marking the pair’s first collaboration, the idea for fashion-meets-biking began when David Koma and DAB Founder Simon Dabadie met in Paris during Fashion Week earlier this year. The new collection seeks to explore how the materiality and hardware of David Koma’s accessories can be translated and re-interpreted into the sleek and minimal bodywork of a DAB 1α motorcycle.

Using motorcycle aesthetics and biking culture as a source of inspiration for a number of years, David Koma has unveiled the new motorcycles as part of a special lookbook photographed by Zoe Natale Mannella, starring model Steinberg.

A fusion of luxury and technology, DAB Motors aims to not only be informed by the latest in EV tech but also draw inspiration from the worlds of contemporary design, fashion and culture, using collaborations such as this as a catalyst for pushing the limits of the brand’s production.

Engineered and crafted in France, the DAB 1α x David Koma weighs just 125kg and reaches a top speed of 130km/h. Lightweight and agile, the model also features a fully repairable, dismountable and recyclable battery that can be charged anywhere using a simple home socket or Type 2 charging point.

Registrations are now open for the six limited-edition bikes via the DAB Motors website. Made to order, the DAB 1α x David Koma will be crafted and ready for customers by February 2025, coinciding with the release of the David Koma Spring-Summer 2025 collection.
